Visco Elastic Memory Foam
These memory foam visco mattresses were first designed for NASA. Our mattresses are temperature sensitive and the material becomes softer and more pliable in warmer areas where the body contact with the surface is greatest. The visco elastic foam material conforms to the shape of your body relieving the pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep, and pain. Memory foam mattresses give you the best chance for reducing the pressure placed on your body by contouring to it without pushing back against it.
When shopping around for a memory foam mattress please consider these important aspects:
(1) How much of the mattress is "Visco Elastic" memory foam and how much of the mattress is base foam. A "memory foam" mattress cannot be made strictly of Visco elastic memory foam as it too soft to support its weight. Therefore a base foam is added as a support layer on the bottom of the mattress. Higher end mattresses have 3" or more of "Visco" or the soft memory foam this way you get the comfortable memory foam feel while still having sufficient support.
(2) The density of the memory foam. If you are more comfortable sleeping on a soft mattress look for a 3LB density. The lower the density the softer the mattress feels. The higher the density the firmer the mattress. A 5LB denisty foam makes for a medium firm mattress.
(3) When comparing prices between stores ask "how much of your mattress is memory foam and how much is base foam?" A 10 inch mattress that has 2 inches of memory foam and 8 inches of base foam should not cost as much as a 10 inch mattress that has 3 inches of memory foam and 7 inches of base foam. At least 3 inches of memory foam in a mattress is ideal because it gives you the proper amount to cushion and contour to your body and relieve pressure points as well as being plusher and a more comfortable memory foam experience.
Our memory foam mattresses arrive from the factory air compressed in a sealed box. Most likely they will fit in your car so you don't have to pay for delivery.
